For those of you who might be curious about my generator that would not
start I was able to find a solution at least temporarily. After
checking and determining that 12 volt was coming to the electric pump
during starter cranking but no fuel coming from the filter housing it
was thought that a new pump was in order. After conferring with Power
Tech they said any locally available pump that provided 4 to 11 PSI
would work. Being a tightwad I decided to try tapping on the side of
the pump with a metal object while my wife cranked the engine and to my
surprise it started right up and has worked flawlessly since. Thanks to
all who offered suggestions.

Yup,
My old hot rod tool kit seems to have fixed your problem. We used
to keep a hammer and prophylactic in the tool kit. The premise
being 'if you can't fix it, F%$#@ it'
