I need a transmission temp guage and a generator oil pressure guage for
my 1984 PT 40 with a detroit 6v92. Any ideas? Eddie Moranii

Are you sure the gauges are bad? You can perform simple tests outlined at
ww2.tflx.com/tech.html to determine if it is the gauge, the sender or a wire
problem. I am sure the gauges are Teleflex black faced International land type
with white and amber index. Once you are certain let us know. I have spent the
last month researching Teleflex International gauges and senders. The guages are
available through BB, but not necessarily the correct senders. I will be posting
the pn's as soon as I can figure out how to get a chart on the site.

I believe that they are the Teleflex International, the only
difference is that the BlueBird gauges have a silver painted edge on
the bezel.

Yes, they are Teleflex International Line(Land). The new part numbers have a
different profile on the bezel but are easily painted silver with a paint stick
to look very good. If the index has been changed the senders will need to be
special ordered because BB has not changed the senders to comply with the index
change. Otherwise, everything should match. ww2.tflx.com/search.html will show
the various gauges and sender types available.

Guages needed - jim riordan - 06-20-2007 02:22

Ed,

Bluebird has some. If you go to the teleflex site they have a list of gauges,
they also have a list of suppliers, I got some gauges from an outfit in NJ. Make
sure that new gauge is indexed the same as old gauge if not you will need a new
sender...
