Troubleshooting icemaker - davidkerryedwards - 07-03-2007 09:02 My icemaker is getting cold and there's water in the line to the unit but no water is flowing in to the icemaker. Any troublshooting hints. I'm guessing it's the valve that controls the flow of the water. Anything else I should be looking at? Kerry 82 FC 35 Denver Troubleshooting icemaker - Curt Sprenger - 07-03-2007 09:15 Kerry, You say "getting cold"...let it run a while longer, to freezing, and maybe the water valve will open. It hadn't occurred to me that the unit would only let water in once a freezing temperature was reached. I'll leave it on for a while. I took the water valve apart and it seems functional. If you don't have ice in a while (you can hear it hit the container) check to make sure you have power to the solenoid. Mine sometimes has to set for a while before it starts up again. Has to do with the eject step I believe so that it completes a full cycle. Terry Neal Bozeman, MT 82PT40 6V92TA 74FC34 6V53T Scott Forman wrote: > Is the water pump on? Are you sure the pump is on and has not turned itself off?
