turn signal switch - birdshill123 - 02-01-2008 15:37 My turn signal switch is not cancelling all the time. Doesnt look like you can replace the switch. The whole stalk must be purchased. I know this item is off some HD truck. Couldnt find it in my Grote catalog. Does anyone know what vehicle uses this switch? Maybe a part #. Looking in the BB catalog it appears that most units use the same switch. I havent checked with BB for a price yet. Bruce 1988 FC35 turn signal switch - pattypape - 02-02-2008 03:39 - Hi Bruce, There are a couple of phillips screws that can loosen, One is visible and I believe the other is under the steering columne cosmetic covering, Tightening may help. Also years ago there was a recall on this switch, They were available at the Dealers at that time, Holland Michigan has a few , I acquired one about 4 years ago and I believe the previous owner of the McGinnis coach ,(BirdBraines) had one, The entire switch must be replaced and it is not a simple task. Guessing there are atleast 20 wire connections that need spliced, I chose to keep the replacement in the box it was shipped in, for future turnsignal trouble. That helped some but it still acts up sometimes. The screws are very tight. On Monday I will check with BB for a price. I just know it is off a HD truck. Bruce 1988 FC35 |
