brake light switch - krminyl@... - 02-19-2008 02:57 Bruce,
On my 1986, I found a terminal strip with the wiring (labeled by the factory) inside the generator battery compartment, street side, in the same compartment as the windshield washer reservoir tank. Maybe you can be as lucky?

I have installed these before. However, where do I find the brake light switch or the wiring that leads to the switch ? Is it under the floor by the treadle. Thanks Bruce 1988 FC35 brake light switch - Ralph L. Fullenwider - 02-19-2008 06:33 HI Bruce: Yes, there are 2 switches. They are usually installed directly on the break valve (front/rear) or they may have been routed to header usually found in the drivers side front compartment. As Ralph suggests there is a header bracket just about an inch above the batteries, mounted to a bracket with an air manifold. Not sure of # 2. That is going to make it very easy to tap into the brake switch circuitry. Bruce 1988 FC35 |
