Gary, when I had my coach on a consignment lot, they never had it on shore power. Thus the batteries were dead. I attached jumper cables to the generator battery and started the generator. In just a short time, I was up and running and left that facility.

I'm still in search of an economical way to ABSOLUTELY quickly get
started after dry camping.

I'm a little paranoid because we accidently turned on the security
lights one night and had to wait the entire next day for a jump.
Couldn't get the genset to charge the batteries enough within a few
hours.

Has anyone ever used something like either of these two items to
start a bird?

I used to have one like the first item to start my tractors after
sitting for a week or two but am curious if they would provide a
nearly immediate start as long as the genset came alive.

If you take the time to read the manual of the second item, it could
be rigged up to autostart the genset with a minimum of trouble.

jumper cables on it? My gen tray won't come out without air up.

I can start the generator but it takes a long time to get the
batteries to where the Cat will purr.

I carry a 200 AMP booster that plugs into AC, makes it easy to use any available AC
to soup up the batteries quick and it can delivery 400 amps for 30 seconds to help
start the engine.

Mine has an external power plug. Simple and easy if you have the other side of the plug. It is similar to the external power attachment on aircraft but not as large.

I've had mine like 15 years and everything that tells who made it has long since worn off,

Gary,
If you are dry camping how do you get AC? A good generator battery is the answer to your problem. I should not take all day to charge the engine batteries off the generator if your chargers are working properly.

I maybe a little confused, you want to have a charger on the coach so that you can charge the coach while dry camping?? run the generator, for a while press the parrell switch and hopefully the big engine will kick over
