Led Tank and clock displays - cape0001 - 09-28-2010 09:23 he is looking for numerical readouts not leds Stephen 97bmc 37 --- In WanderlodgeForum@yahoogroups.com, Wayne Kotila > > If you have electical knowledge and are comfortable working with it, you can buy L E Ds at Radio schack and solder new ones on the circuite board. If they are not on a board and are connected with wires thats easier yet. Radio schack has a variety of L E Ds in a variety of colors and a couple sizes (5mm or 10mm). Some are in mounting rings that allowà them to snap into a mounting hole in a panel and these are usually set up already for a certain voltage like 12 volt. If you buy justà the L E D by itself, you will have toà solder a resistor to theà positive wire from the L Eà D becauseà the L E D only usesà between 3 and 4 volts, usually for 12 volt a 1000 ohm resistor is what is needed. L E Ds are positive/negative specific,à and if you are adding a resistor, solder it to the positveà wire from the L Eà D. If you reverse the polarityà it doesn't damage the L E D, ità just won't light. > I hope this helps > à > Wayne kotila > 96PT42à à > > --- On Tue, 9/28/10, jr > > > From: jr > Subject: [WanderlodgeForum] Led Tank and clock displays > To: WanderlodgeForum@yahoogroups.com > Date: Tuesday, September 28, 2010, 4:54 PM > > > à > > > > I have a 1988 wbwl walk thriugh bath. in the overhead cabinet next to the refrigerator is a panel that contains controls for genny odor controls. both leds have gone bad. i am looking for replacements Any Ideas? > Led Tank and clock displays - cape0001 - 09-28-2010 09:23 he is looking for numerical readouts not leds Stephen 97bmc 37 --- In WanderlodgeForum@yahoogroups.com, Wayne Kotila > > If you have electical knowledge and are comfortable working with it, you can buy L E Ds at Radio schack and solder new ones on the circuite board. They sell almost any electronic component you could wish for. Radio shack doesn't havemany componentsany more.
