FYI - 3208 Lube Oil Leak Problem Solved - bberic35 - 11-07-2010 11:02

Few days back I was looking for info on source of lube oil leak I had on top of
our 3208. After checking on my own and replacing the lube oil hose to the air
compressor, the leak was still going. Finally decided to turn it over to a real
diesel mechanic. Turned out the lube leak was coming from a bad O ring where
the fuel injection pump shaft is inserted into the block. Mechanic had to open
up the front end to remove the fuel injection pump. Big job - beyond my
capabilities!

For future reference on my part, which diesel mechanic did you use?

Mike,
Work was done at Seguin DIesel. Clyde Schumman and his boys are top notch in my
book.
