Inverter main fuse
I recently popped an inverter fuse. Turns out mine are a Shawmut Ampsurge A13X250 250a fuse. This crosses to a Bussmann 4XC83 from Grainger. $68 plus tax each. I haven't yet mounted the new one, but it appears to be very close in all dimensions and should be an easy replacement.

RE: Inverter main fuse
John,
What loads are you running that require over 3000W of power? david brady, '02 Wanderlodge LXi 'Smokey' (Sold), '04 Prevost H3 Vantare 'SpongeBob' "I don't like being wrong, but I really hate being right" |

RE: Inverter main fuse
If you are replacing a fuse, and even if you are not, add the proper fuse holder. BB used a piece of rubber and a metal clamp that is a dead short to the battery if it comes just a little loose. Pix attached.
Again, while you are at it, install a rubber cover over the back of thee hot jump terminal. It is inviting a massive spark if you happen to ground it with a wrench. Ron & Dorinda Rueckwald 2000 LXi, Single Slide Summer in St. Joseph, MI Winter in St. Petersburg, FL |

I'll have to study mine a little to see how to do that properly. John Mace 06 450LXi bigger bird living in the wild hinterlands of the north free to roam without the man getting me down |
