These "Air Fans"
Am I correct in assuming that the Horton fans talked about here are
turned by air pressure rather than by a belt off the engine? Or does
the air pressure simply close the clutch to engage the belt drive?

These "Air Fans"
Air pressure keeps the clutch off so it will default "on" if pressure is lost..
A temp switch controls air signal to the fan clutch. Not complicated but
demanding in execution.

Is there any easy way to tell, say by crawling under the coach and
looking up, what kind of fan is on the engine?

Belt. Air only controls the clutch.

If one has a working Facet Fan, as I do, is there any reason to
swtich to a Horton?
