Sluggish 8V92
Sounds like you are thinking only in terms of Blue Birds? The Series60 was
introduced in 1987, with DDEC I. It went to DDEC II almost immediately, then DDEC III was introduced in 1992. DDEC IV was 1997, but I'm not sure when DDEC V entered the picture. Sluggish 8V92
UPDATE: Picked up the Bluebird today. The increase in performance was easily
noticeable. We tried using two different "Series 60" DDEC's, reprogrammed, and were guaranteed that they would work on a 8V92....couldn't get either to work correctly. We ended up installing a used unit from a 8V92. The rack was also adjusted. The tech said it was off quite a bit. Sluggish 8V92
Good for you Jerry. Thanks for the follow up post. I'll bet that re-rack job
alone made a big difference. You're set to go traveling for the holidays now.
