Rally Sign Up Database

Scott Bishop and I have collaberated to come up with a common Rally
Sign Up Lists Database. This allows people to sign up online for any
number of regional BB Rallies in one spot, on which ever forum you
frequent. Having one common database for Rallies is important since
Yahoo!Groups allows ten databases per Group. The common format allows
Rallymasters to easily merge the database lists.

Go to the Database section of the forum and see the Rally Sign Up
Lists. This database is intended to help Rallymasters and other
attendees to see and keep track of who is coming. If you have ever
hosted a Rally, you can appreciate how important knowing the headcount
is.

The intention is that the Rallymaster should create an entry for the
Rally when he or she announces it to the group. As you sign up for
any Rally, copy the Rally name you are attending from the
Rallymaster's entry. Click "Add Record" and paste the copied Rally
Name in the first column of your sign up entry. That way you will
have the correct spelling. Then fill in your specific information and
click on "Add Record" in the lower right hand corner. You can come
back and edit or delete the information later if you need to if
something changes.

As you view the Rally database, or any other database, you can sort
the table(s) by any column by clicking on the column name. Looking at
the membership or roadside assistance databases, you can sort by state
to see who is located near where you are traveling. For the Rally
database, if you or the Rallymaster sort on the Rally Name column, you
will see everyone signed up for each Rally, grouped together by Rally
in order of sign up. The Rallymaster can then export the table to a
file, delete the other Rally entries and have his/her Rally attendee list.
