Engine Swap
Greg: Lots of rv'rs with Cat C7 and the 5.9 Cummins as well as other
engines have slobber tube problems. yes they are crankase vents but they do slobber dirty black oil Our FC has one as well. In a rear rad setup the slobber mixes with road dirt and it becomes like concrete on the rad. Murder to clean as you cannot use a pressure washer. The best way is to open up the bed, crawl on top of the engine and spray between the rad and the CAC. Some people have built a wand of PVC and shove it between the CAC and the rad. Lots of fun. Most have extended the slobber tube so it runs past the cooling sytem. Many have installed bottles, race car cans and other containers to catch the liquid. Bruce 1988FC35 BTW: Will " Tim n Greg" be doing their vaudeville act at Q?? |
