8v92 will not crank update-bad starter???
My day of troubleshooting tells me that I have a bad starter. When the
starter is engaged by the key, the solenoids click and the starter itself makes a loud click but does not turn. The same starter click happens when jumping across the solenoid. I can turn the crankshaft with a wrench, so it's not locked up (thank God). The starter has not exactly been what I would call 'strong' for the year I have owned the coach anyway, and it looks plenty old, so I am thinking it just gave up the ghost. Agree/disagree? Scott: Try clamping a heavy jumper cable from the starter housing to
a good battery ground...easy to do and is an additional way to rule out have a bad ground.
