I called Wanderlodge yesterday to check on some parts and was told they
are closed till further notice, I was told they have a meeting with
their bank in two weeks to determine their fate.

There was an earlier thread on this topic. Macy posted that they're working with the bank and he will let us know when a resolution is reached.

I feel I need to respond to this one. Isn't there federal rules about parts supply when a product is discontinued. I think they are obligated to provide parts for a 5 year period and the they are to be warehoused until exhausted for another period of time.

Anyone out there that know about this? The company I retired from often had to honor parts for a period of time. It is only right that a compnay should not abandon people's parts source especially on an expensive product like an Wanderlodge.

I don't know about "when a product is discontinued" but there is no obligation
when a company ceases to exist. That includes warranties as well as parts.

Talk to any National, Alfa, or Western RV owner right now!

Companies close the doors and use all these cease to exist, chapter
bla bla bla stuff but hang on to existance so federal and state tax
obligations dont transfer forward. Managers, owners, gp's, excetives
have personal lives. when they enter your personal life to make a
sale or contract, you have a personal connection. Knock on their
door. I usuly go over for morning coffie.
On a related topic one of my axle bearings was making noise so I
greased it. didnt have time or enough money to get to the others yet
but they arent sound up.

The "parts availability" rules don't cover vehicles (or appliances) where the manufacturer goes out of business. So, if Blue Bird Coachworks ceases operations (and that is not yet settled), then the parts may become hard to get. Fortunately, Wanderlodges are mostly assembled out of components from third parties, so only a very few proprietary items might become a real problem.
As for warranty coverage -- it would likely cease with a bankruptcy filing, if the business is being closed down or liquidated. Warranty holders become "unsecured debtors" ....
In the case of the 450 overweight recall, that was funded by Cerebus, so it's unclear what the situation will be for that program. CCW might be able to continue the program. Beyond that, anything would be speculation.
