No Spark in stove

I have a Modern Maid two-burner cooktop in our '88 FC. The electric spark
starter has quit functioning. Anyone know of a source for trouble shooting this,
or have any similar experience?

Did they get wet or damp from washing dishes? No, that is not a smart Alec
response. Those can be replaced easily or if wet dry by air and re try. Double
check the proper positioning of the units under the knob and on the shaft.

Ralph:

In my experience, if water gets down in there it causes the sparker to actuate
constantly until dried out. This time there is no spark; however they started
working again this morning. This has happened in the past – just took longer
this time.
