BEAUTIFUL........ Yep Alaska has been on the bucket list for decades...... George you are a VERY LUCKY guy to have enjoyed its beauty all these decades! Kudo's to you!

Matanuska Valley grows some incredible stuff in it's short growing season. They routinely see mid to hi 80's even in late May.

Pete,
Even though I cleaned Alaska dirt out of the dresser for several years after the trip (and it still was carrying some when I sold it), the beauty of the state has me considering driving the bus to Alaska. I do believe its moderately hard on a vehicle to drive it up, but it's STILL probably worth it. It's MORE than worth renting a class c to drive the state. You just need a early 80's short PT or a FC. Good ground clearance and doesn't get high centered too easily. Also all steel baby! Tough as nails!
