FC 35 Generator
Does anyone know what generator I have in my 1982 FC 35. Its diesel and gold in
colour. Is
the engine a Perkins? Does anyone know where I can get a new waterpump? Many
thanks for
the help.

Justin:

You have a Perkins/Kohler in your Coach
Perkins 4.108
Kohler 12.5 KW

Probably a CCOPY-67 Model

At 1800 rpm you will put out 60 HZ @ 240 VAC (120 VAC per leg)

At no load it will burn aprox .4 GPH Diesel Fuel and at full load as much
as aprox 1 GPH diesel.

If you extend the gen set drawer, and have a mirror and flashlight handy,
look at the rear of the valve cover of the engine. There you should find a
slanted plate between the engine and generator. On that plate will be the
specification tag with all the specs on it.

Jsutin,

Also if you have not found it yet, in the "Links" section of the
Wanderlodgeforum there is a link labeled Perkins Diesel Repair Manual.
It links to an online shop maual for the Perkins.

Thanks for all your help, I think I have identified the generator as a
4.107 Perkins. I am still looking to see if I can find a water pump
this weekend!

Good luck finding that on a weekend! Hard enough to find Perkins
parts locally *anytime* unless you are in very large metropolitan
area. Tractor stores might have one, since Perkins were used in many
small tractors and bobcats. As I recall, you need all the codes you
can find on the Perkins to get the right pump (or most other parts),
not just the 4.107 model code.

Since you have to replace the water pump, you should take the radiator
in for cleaning and inspection at the same time. I went back with
distilled water and low SCA coolant and got it all over with at once
when I replaced my Perkins water pump on my 83PT.

Might want to try marine supply stores also, if there are any in your area. Lots
of Perkins
were put in sailboats.

Thanks to everyone for the help here is the update:

I found a water pump at a marine supply store that was closed but the
owner opened up for us! I then drove around like a mad person to find
a place to get the pulley off the shaft and then the pulley pressed
onto the new pump. Slight problem, the shaft is slightly bigger on the
new pump so the pulley split when we were pressing it on. We tig
welded the pulley and i have the whole thing put back together. I am
having the rad flushed out so I will report back on Monday.

Again thanks for everyones help,
