New Wanderlodge Owners !!!

Pete,
I know you are right.
Now that I have seen what a top notch vintage bus can be, I have a
better understanding of the potential of other ones I look at. I know
I don't want a modern RV because you always have something to fix.
With a vintage Bird you won't be fixing, you will be restoring.
(makes it sound more like fun)

Gardner........ a BIG Thank You !!!

I made the 1400 mile trip from Florida to Nebraska........
With NO problems ;-)
The worst part was day 1 going through Georgia on Interstate 75.
Way too much traffic & construction for my first day driving ;-(
Specifically through Atlanta.

Now I know why many love the BB Wanderlodge.
What a great coach/bus/RV !!!
Sarah and I love our new 78 FC 33' SB.
It drives & rides excellent for 28 years old.

Thanks to all the previous owners for keeping this coach in great shape!
The list of things to do are short (only a handful) and minor, to get it this BB
on the list of......... absolutely everything works.
I need to replace 1 light bulb, fix speedometer & front roof flood/spot
light.......... that's about it.
I intend to get this done soon as to make it very easy to keep up with anything
that needs to be done in the future.

I have a lot to learn about the regular maintenance and future problems that
might, and will occur, with a coach of this age.
I intend to do all the work myself that I am capable of.
From what I have seen, this forum will be of great help......... Thanks.

coach. We visited him on Sunday and did a complete walk through with

evaluate it come with us. I didn't ask his permission to use his
name so I won't mention it, but he was a knowledgeable and provided
some enjoyable conversation along with his advise. The coach is a
real winner and the price is definitely low for the condition. My
wife and I have only tent camped and gone for a cross country trip
in a van (a long time ago) so we are new to the BIG RV. We basically
chickened out at in the end. It was only a short time ago that my
wife and I came to an agreement on buying an RV, and James' coach
was such a great buy that I had to see it. In the end I need to do a
lot more research and learn a lot more about the systems before I
dive in. I will buy one, but maybe not this year.

James' coach is a magnificent example of a Bluebird. The interior
is impeccable and the exterior is in unbelievable condition. I
climbed up to the roof in very hot weather with the sun bearing
down, and the surface was barely warm to the touch. James used a
paint he obtained form some NASA friends that somehow insulates from
the heat.

The bottom of the side mirror is ecstatically the same height as
my forehead, and I have the scar to prove it!

So you owe me for declining to purchase. Keep the forum updated
with your adventures. You have a great coach.
