Coolant Filter and Conditioner 8V92
Reading through my Detroit Diesel V92 CD (manual), I find a section on
Coolant Filter and Conditioner. Did Bluebird install these on our
coaches, and where?

Curt:

Just back from tracing coolant lines on my coach. I do not have a coolant
filter.

Leroy,
Thanks. I don't believe BB installed the coolant filter on any Birds, at
least not on the 8V92. I let Randy know that I could be interested in
adding a unit to our coolant system. He's checking on quantity pricing, etc.

There are different types of coolants being used and not all of them
are compatible with some coolant filters. In addition there are
different sizes of coolant filters depending on the size of the
system and its uses. Installing the incorrect filter can result in a
system that is over charged causing the drop out of solids that will
harm the water pump and passage ways of the coolant system, or be to
small resulting in a cooling system that is not fully protected.

Those that are considering adding one may want to read this

There are others but Baldwin and Fleet are I believe the most widely used.
