Gardner and others,
Is your storage indoors or outside? If it is outside what do you do to protect the coach and tires? I am in New Jersey and have a 15 or 20 mile trip to my bird, near Greenwood Lake. The owner also runs an excavation business out of the location so he has some skin in the security game as well. It is outdoors, however. Hi Leroy,
Thanks for the reply, No I was only kidding, it is still buzzing and I will check out what Ralph has said... Leroy Eckert Larry: I don't know anything about FC's but I bet that bus=zzer will not bother you again. It is most likely fried. Is the light still blinking, ie are the light and buzzer related. Just a thought. Please do not turn up the stereo it could cost you a bundle. Gardner,
You probably be better of closer if you do bring it home every weekend... As far as someone living there, what happens when they go away on vacation??? I had a previous RV, it was a Safari Trek, with an Isuzu diesel, which I stored in a facility that was gated with 8' fences, security cameras and a security guard, located in The Bronx, it was broken into they stole all the appliances that the could get out, TV, DVD, VCR, CB, trashed the whole place... The security did not show anything on the cameras and the guard was probably part of the gang... So much for security... Good thing for insurance... Gardner Yeaw Larry, Mine isn't gated, but the main office building has a living facility so I think there is someone there most of the time so it's pretty safe. I haven't had any problems. They also store 18 wheeler truck tractors and boats plus the normal storage facility buildings. I am beginning to think I should store it closer to home since I Recent Activity 12 New Members 4 New Photos 1 New Links Visit Your Group SPONSORED LINKS Automotive advertising Automotive lifts Recreational vehicle dealer Blue bird house Recreational vehicle rental Sitebuilder Free Download Build your web site in minutes. Ernie,
It did not phase out at all... Just kept on buzzing... I will check out the suggestion this weekend... Sea Ya Larry NYC 64 35FCSB erniecarpet@... wrote: Larry- my 84 35FC had the intermitten buzzer come on, also. I checked all the gauges and just surmised that it was another gremlin in the coach. Seemed to phase out the longer I drove her. Hey Larry, I see you have got some great response to your question. I
did not know about the wire chafing/corrosion...Thanks Ralph. When we first got RUBY our 86FC I had a similar issue. The warning buzzer and light. I could not figure it out...all fluids were ok as you said. While driving through the Inlet here there is a few bumps in the road and causes a porpoise type action...the buzzer and light would go off briefly. I found the coolant level to be just low enough to cause the warning light and buzzer to come on when sloshing around. One of the most important lessons I have learned about these birds is the KISS method...first of all look for the obvious and then check the obvious again..then go from there. In my situation I could not find where water was leaking from or going to...until...and rut ro...blown head gasket. Not to alarm you but check the coolant level CLOSELY. If you are using coolant find out why..new CAT heads are spensive.. Can't wait to see the old girl. And of course you too...
