Water Leak
one of the reasons I fear filling he holding tank too quick and modifying the
fill path is splitting the tank when the water cant get out as quickly as it gets in. I wonder if that is why the gateway to the tank is restricted and takes so long to fill???? the overflow to the tank is a pipe in from the top that extends into the tank more than 1/3 the way ( I can only guess it is a way to keep dust out??) . it exits the tank then makes two 90 deg turns then has a longer run past the bottom of the tank. You are correct water flows down acted on by gravity however in the overflow it flows up acted on by suction caused by gravity (I would guess this is also true north of the border, seen it happen south in Mexico). a simple cut or vent atop of the overflow will satisfy the suction with air and elevate the continuous overflow. my tank once starting to over flow will run for what seems like five minutes http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hhPdJt-OBW0 Greg of Tim&Greg 94ptca . --- In WanderlodgeForum@yahoogroups.com, "Stephen Birtles" wrote: > > run plastic tubing with push and turn fittings as you describe should be good to go > which leads to the question what overflow from the holding tank? water flows down not up and siphon has nothing to do with it > Stephen > > > --- In WanderlodgeForum@yahoogroups.com, "timvasqz" > > > > could be the overflow from the tank. the pipe is in the tank abit and not just at the full level. > > once it starts to overflow, it could continue to siphon out the volumn up to the overflow pipe hanging in the tank. > > > > Greg of Tim&Greg > > 94ptca > > > > --- In WanderlodgeForum@yahoogroups.com, "williamcharrison" > > > > > > Help! > > > > > > Just getting ready to leave for vacation and as I was filling the fresh > > > water tank I noticed water gushing from above the holding tank on the > > > driver's side. >Chuck, I recently removed my comode from my 89sp and if I recall it exposes the water line from the sink to the shower. All you have to do is remove the top half of the comode where the big hose clamp is, leaving the bottom half attached to the floor. There will be a hose to disconnect at the valve, but its not hard at all. Iput on a kit that replaces all part on the step valve. Hope this helps you Ed Gardels 89SP HOT Arlington Tx > Help! > > Just getting ready to leave for vacation and as I was filling the fresh > water tank I noticed water gushing from above the holding tank on the > driver's side.
