Dometci 7030 help
lucky for me,i have not had any leaks (that i know of!) and i'm hoping that the
amana last forever! i'm guessing when it goes bad it comes out through the
windsheild,on its back...i can't believe that they would put a gas refer in the
side aisle coach, what were they thinking? george,i can't help you on your leak!

Ok Randy,

I also have the Amana side by side, 19 cu. ft. refer. We have a leak
in the water system, i.e. the feed for the ice maker and ice water.
When we had the refer out for other repairs last winter, we thought we
had found the problem to be the hose washer that was hard. However, a
new washer didn't seem to do it.

Problem that we are trying to overcome is, how do you trouble shoot
it? It only leaks when pressure is on and it is very slow. (yet
enough to soak the carpet) To get at the line. etc., you have to pull
the refer out. To get the refer our, you have to remove the doors
which necessitates breaking the water line that goes up the door. I
have not been able to determine if it is the tubing from the angle
stop under the lavatory or the tubing in the refer itself. Have you
had any experience with this that you can pass on?

Thanks,

Thanks Randy,

And BTW, from what I can find, nobody makes a refer that will fit in
that hole. I did some serious looking when we first got our coach and
the refer quit. Finally found a repairman in quartzsite who was able
to fix it. been working well for 1 1/3 years now. Except for the
water leak...

Dometci 7030 help
Actually its better that the hole from the old refrigerator is a little
bigger then anything new available. I completely rebuilt the reefer hole in
my 1982 FC35 including a new floor(BB just drained the tube onto the floor
and rotted it out). Also completely rebuilt the inside and reinsulated it,
and rebuilt the back wall so that I could get a nice flow of cool air thru
to the ceiling vent. I built a beautiful new surround out of Cherry and the
new refrigerator now looks like it has been always installed that way.
Biggest thing is to make sure the hole is completely sealed so nothing can
escape from the hole tothe inside of the coach

Bottom line is there is always a way to install a new refrigerator, IF the
aisle is wide enough so that some dimension of the refrigerator will fit in
it and can be moved to the door. In the case of the PTs I would think the
passenger seat comes out and you can take the refeer out that way. I dont
think I would have a problem installing a new one.
