Going to try putting a Safe-t-plus on the tag and see how that improves things (once I get it of course).
I do need to find a shop where I'm picking it up so I can see how it does on the trip back.

why change it with a spring centering device, it locks center when you get up speed. the way people end up damaging them is with K turns. it is less of a steer-axle and more of a follow-axle-at-low-speed.
when I back into a site I dont swing right, I just stop perpendicular , shift to reverse, wait for the axle to cam back, then make my turn. any other adjustment or slow turn move I drop the air in the tag-bags. this allows the axle to center out . but you wont be pointing the tires the other way untill they return to center first.

Ok, I'll try to figure out what you mean when I get into the coach and do some practice turns as I've never had a coach with a steering axel before.
