RE: Commercial/Shore Power Connection
Mike,
I have had my share of issues, and all were worked out by the group you mentioned, and a few other guys . MY only advise would be when looking at a LXI find out what has been upgraded , cause I assure you the list is long ,and if some items have been handled within the past 2 years or so , you wont need to worry about those for a while and I'm not talking about TV s al perna 2000 LXI ormond beach fla |

RE: Commercial/Shore Power Connection
I assume it is understood without saying, but to get power to your entire coach using the 30A plugs, you need (2) 30A power cables, and plug each of them in to their own receptacle. When doing this, you have 30 amps of power for each leg for a total capacity of 60A. Thought I would mention this as I didn't see it covered in any of the other replies.
Safe travels, enjoy your coach.....!! |

RE: Commercial/Shore Power Connection
My 90 only has a 50 and a single 30 amp. I tried the 30 once, but since it only powered half the coach, I took out the 50, and put a 50-30 amp adapter on it. Still only have 30 amp when at a site with only 30 amp plug in, but by using the adapter, I get power to all the BB.

RE: Commercial/Shore Power Connection
I apologize, I assumed that because my 1988 XXV had (2) 30A receptacles, the 1990 surely would. My bad.....

RE: Commercial/Shore Power Connection
I never understood the need for the 30A plug. I owned 3 Wanderlodges spanning several years of use and not once did I ever have the need to use anything but the 50A reel cord. The 30A adapter to the 50A cord was used if only 30A shore power was available. When hooked to 30A all the circuits were powered but only one AC could be ran without overloading the shore circuit breakers.
Even the Wanderlodges with the 2 30A plug-ins would have had a difficult time finding 2 30A shore power outlets close enough to the bus to reach with the 30A cords supplied. Chuck & Tela Millsap 2003 Prevost Marathon XLII 2000 LXi #2 S/S (Sold) 2004 M380 D/S (Sold) 2000 LXi #1 N/S (Sold |
