RE: Newbie
That LXi is also on Ebay. I'd venture a guess that it was traded in on a Prevost judging from who the seller is....... That's a good price for an '03 LXi, it probably can be bought for significantly less tho.....

RE: Newbie
Beautiful 2003 LXi guys. There's just something to take care first right now. Still hoping to find time to check the 2000 LXi my friend mechanic is referring to.

RE: Newbie
the 2000 is also a good coach . I would want the 01-03 due to the improvements to water bay mainly . Just my own preference . Also , the slide is a 30k value above a non slide . If you were looking at a Prevost , that 30k would be 50-60k , but I'm guessing since I don't own one
In my opinion a good deal for a non slide 2000 LXI in Great condition would be in the 70-80k range no more , unless values have gone up . You could probably buy the 03 for 110k cash , and it has a slide . I passed on a 01 single slide 7 months back for 95k , I offered 80k and after a week of back and forth talk it was sold . Wasn't really looking , just wanted to see how cheap they would go . Again good luck , and don't let these guys talk you into a Prevert , hahaha I'm sorry , the Box wine did it again al perna 2000 LXI ormond beach fla |

RE: Newbie
Chuck I purchased the bird from the Motor Coach Store you referenced so I am a Newbie in New Orleans. Enjoyed the purchase process & the drive home, trying to learn all the systems we ran the generator & a/c units for 34 hours on a shake down trip without incident. We look forward to meeting the group & any suggestions would be deeply appreciated.

RE: Newbie
Excellent choice, Craig,
That's a very fair price to pay for a coach of that quality. That coach looks to be taken well care of. One thing I'll mention tho, follow the operational directions on how to extend and retract the slides very closely. And check that the front Lexan headlight covers are secure. If you lose one (which has happened to a few) it is almost impossible to find a replacement Lexan cover. Also, I would check to see if the coach has been fitted with a Safe -T- Plus steering assist unit. If not, I would add one because it will improve the drivability a bunch and help you safely steer the coach in case of a steer tire flat or blowout. I think the blue one is the correct size for your bus. Read the reviews,,,,, https://www.amazon.com/Safe-T-Plus-41-23...afe+t+plus Enjoy that beautiful coach. RE: Newbie
Thanks Chuck & Steve I've been reading the manuals & pecking around the systems, making room for it in one of my buildings till we start building it's new home. Steve looking forward to meeting you I took it to Middendorf's on Saturday then to Hammond & Franklinton overnight.
I am going to install another couch & a dinette, any suggestions on a Blue Bird quality vendors for this conversion would be helpful! We have a family of five & need the extra bed space. |
