Gencon on LXi
Folks,

I'm having Westhaver Associates take a look
at my gencon board to check for general health
and to calibrate it to a new AC adapter. In
the process, Larry noticed that with a high
probability, the board is running incorrect software.
The board, as delivered by blue bird, is assuming
an 89 tooth flywheel, and Larry is pretty sure that
the 15kw Powertech generator uses a 110 tooth
flywheel. Anyone know off the top of their head
whether the 15 kw Powertech in an '02 LXi uses
an 89 or a 110 tooth flywheel?

Thanks
David

Thanks for the contact Scott, I'll call Corey
in the morning - mind if I mention your name?
BTW, I don't know if you're familiar with the
gencon product. If not, you can find info about
it here (NFI):

It's pretty much standard issue on later coaches.
Basically it monitors the battery voltage levels and
starts and stops the generator automatically. May
be just the thing for your new generator. Now that
you have everything fixed on your coach, you may
be looking for new toys to tinker with.

See you in Perry,
David and Suzy

Folks,

I managed to get in touch with Corey Bulleman at PowerTech.
If anyone is interested, the '02 LXi Powertech generator uses
a 4 cylinder kubota engine and the flywheel has 110 teeth. Sorry
for this esoteric data, but I'm just closing the loop and providing
something for the archives:

Generator
part no: PTSMH-15BB
powertech serial no: KMA40DEA3320BB
rated power: 17.5KW

Thanks Scott. Corey asked how your genny conversion was
working out. I assured him that based on your messages posted
to this list, the conversion is working beautifully. He was
pleased.

Thanks again,
David Brady
