Dry Camping...How Long?
If the coach batteries were depleated, how long would I have to run
the gen before they were charged enough to crack the engine? Dry Camping...How Long?
Funny you should ask...after starting gen set and ensuring both my
45amp chargers were on line and charging the batts, it took only about 15 min. to get enough ump to crank and start. Dry Camping...How Long?
First of all. You don't want to depleat your batteries in that
manner. Keep them above 50% discharge and they will last a long time. We boondock every year at Quartzsite and never have a problem staying as long as we wish. We just finished an 11 day stay and had more than 1/4th of our water left and only filled our black tank to 1/2. You must learn to conserve. We run the generator for a couple hours in the morning and a couple in the evening and the batteries do a wonderful job. R.E. Hi Bruce,
We are still debugging it. Love the space with the four slide outs. What I really love is the "smart-beds". These are the cargo bays that slide out beyond the room slides so you don't have to get down on your knees to crawl in. You can stand upright and reach anything you want. There are four of them and each one is rated at 750 lbs. All you have to do is push a button and they roll right out or in..... This coach has a lot of electronics, more than the BB 450. It has the Silverleaf system that monitors everything; Smart Tire monitors; Reverse Osmosis with auto tank fill; Waste Master dump system; Glendining cable and hose systems; Standard with dual DTV systems; HDTV; DVD players; and a lot of other innovations that I am still learning about. Got an appointment Thursday to get some of the bugs fixed. We think it will br a great coach for our full timing....
