Jay,
Not suggesting such bad for your generator, but last year the bracket that holds the brushes in the generator broke on mine, and the loose part and brush spun with the armature damaging it to the extent of needing replacement. About a $1,000 deal. Obviously, we had no charging ability at the time of occurrence. And, thanks for your great dissertation on the inverter install. I remember we appreciated your helping us when we installed ours.
