New Questions: jack springs,upholstery,microwave,fridge
Hello Bruce,
This worked for me: Place the spring on a sturdy work bench and extend it with a come-a-long. Cut a number of small wooden blocks and place these in the open spaces of the extended spring and then let the pressure off the spring. It will collapse to an extended length. Reinstall the spring on the jack. When you then extend the jack all the way down the blocks are easily removed. This procedure takes some practice but did work. Be sure the spring is installed as to counter the sideways force of it's partner spring or the jack will be twisted. Good luck, Jack '89 "FC 35 "Traveller" Franklin, NC [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] |
