Facet Fan Teardown.
I got a couple of Horton air clutch situations if you run into big problems.
The pulley hub has facing tapered bearings like a front wheel spindle. I takes
about 4 oz. of oil to fill the cavity when reassembling. Use 80/90. End play
for the pulley hub is .001 to .010, torque the nut to 110 ft. lbs. If the
bearing races are in good shape, I would not bother changing the bearing
assemblies but DO change the seal.

Subject: [WanderlodgeForum] Facet Fan Teardown.

I am getting ready to dissassemble the Facet fan and pulley hub on my
Bird in order to replace all of the bearings. I am doing this as
preventive maint.as I understand these fans are made out of
unobtainimum. I don't want to damage any of the parts so would like to
know the proper order of teardown. Also are the bearings in the hub
packed like a wheel bearing or is there oil in the hub.
