Dometic fridge door gasket
Hi Chuck:

After you get the gaskets, lay out a good place where the doors (removed)
can be laid down, gasket side up. You need a very sharp knife (utility
knife is best), raise the old gasket edge up and make your cuts into the
groove, deep. Do not leave any old gasket on the upper flat area at all.
Cut the old gasket completely away. Then clean the door flat where the new
gasket will stick ( double side tape is used to reattach, with a solvent
like paint thinner and let dry. Dry place the new gasket around the edges
of the door for fit. Now your going to need 2 people. Start on the lower
narrowest part and stick the new gasket, then up on side and on around from
there. Then doors need to stay laid down for 24 hours before re attaching
back to the fridge and then close the door and let sit UN OPENED for
another 12 hours. It also works better if you leave the new gaskets laid
out flat for a few hours before installing them.

Safe travels,
