as mike said,3/16 steel flatbar will work well,but when you drill the
holes they need to be offset just a bit to the side,or you may have to
grind a bevel on one side,the side that goes toward the bearing
casting,you have to make damn sure the flatbar is flat against the
casting when the bolts are tight.
