OK, well that would be easy to modify with a pressure switch, very reliable
too, and quite a safeguard, will have to look into that.

the step, designed to reverse (extend) the step if it retracts and
pinches a foot between the step and body.

Most of them have been disconnected, the rest will be eventually.
Usualy fails closed.
