1982PT40 propane leak protocal
Since nobody else has answered, I'll take a stab at it. Propane is heavier than
air so it will
sink to the low spot, probably flowing out the steps at the door if it can.
Opening the
windows will keep fresh air in the coach but it won't allow the propane to
escape. you can
purchase a gas sniffer which will locate a leak. They aren't cheap--probably
around $200
(I bought mine on ebay) but it might be cheaper than a service call. Propane
companies
could probably recommend a service technician. An RV shop could also deal with
the
problem. I believe most RV frig's run on ammonia so a frig leak should smell
like
ammonia. Did you shut off the manual valve at the propane tank?

could it be the hydrogen from the tubes behind the refrig we just discovered
recently has
some leak. All the electrical is shut down and main switch is Off. Windows open
for
circulation.

propane
companies that can be called to come out and search for the leak. Is it
dangerous...not
really identified as such in the manuel. I left a message at Bluebird. I am
about 250 miles
from the bus at this point in time, but was there this morning.
