Oil analysis is a good thing, keeps an eye on the head gaskets. I'm of the
opinion that by the time analysis shows excess metal, it's too late. It's a
better strategy to physically check the bearings at 100/125k miles. It's an easy
job compared to dealing with a bearing failure.

Ben: My Blue Box has the original Cat brochure on the ATAAC engine
300HP @2800, 743 lb. ft. of torque @ 1600, 1450 lbs. dry, approved
for RV's up to 36,000 GVW. For all you owners of 250 HP 3208's there is
one caveat: Brochure states: Not recommended for sustained, high
mileage, on-highway use.
