I do not have a schematic of the step solenoid, however, I recently had
a problem with my step not fully opening and locking into place.

I was advised by another forum member to remove the air valves (spark
plug looking devices)on the bottom of the solenoid and clean them up.
This fixed the problem. Seems some 'crud' was clogging up the valves.
The adjustments on the two valves increases or decreased the speed of
opening and closing.
