Getting to PT engine from bedroom
I had an 86 PT40 with a queen bed. At the rear of the coach was a
wooden panel about 2.5 ft square that was screwed down. Once removed, there was a metal panel about 2 ft square that had to be removed. I guessing on the dimensions as it has been a while. Once you get the panel off it is still a bear to work as one is leaning down into the hell hole. To work on alternators--small diesel mechs crawled in over the batteries on the right side and got to it. Fat me was even able to wiggle in up there to tighten tension bolts. Regards, Jim |
