Getting to PT engine from bedroom
I had an 86 PT40 with a queen bed. At the rear of the coach was a
wooden panel about 2.5 ft square that was screwed down. Once removed,
there was a metal panel about 2 ft square that had to be removed. I
guessing on the dimensions as it has been a while. Once you get the
panel off it is still a bear to work as one is leaning down into the
hell hole.

To work on alternators--small diesel mechs crawled in over the
batteries on the right side and got to it. Fat me was even able to
wiggle in up there to tighten tension bolts.
