Getting to PT engine from bedroom
OK, I got in.

1) Lift off night stand
2) Find edges of the plywood panel in the middle. It extends a bit
under the mattresses, you will need to remove them or tilt them up on
their side. My bus has some heat insulation glued on top of the
plywood, I had to peel it back until I found the seam.
3) Remove wood screws holding this panel on. On mine, they were
placed randomly.
4) Remove plywood. You are now looking at a metal plate. Mine is
the dark red primer color.
5) Remove the screws around the perimeter of the plate (there are a
bunch). DO NOT remove the four bolts around the center, they hold on
a head sheild on the engine side of the panel.
6) Pry plate off. You are now looking directly down on the
alternator. I suggest doing this with a cold engine, as there is
also an exhaust pipe running right past the opening.
