Vipwheels - New replacement Steering Wheel
On my 83 FC the horn button pops off with a little nudge from a flat headed
screwdriver (It's a switch, not a contact ring like a car, and has a wire attached). Look down into the hole and there is about a 1 1/8" nut. remove the nut and the wheel should come off with the proper wheel puller. Keep us posted, I also need to replace my steering wheel with a smaller unit. Something about that Law Of Physics that states My belly and the steering wheel cannot occupy the same space at the same time. Charlene requested the diameter, spline count, and part number. I can get the diameter and spline count if I can get the wheel off, my question is how ? The wheel is loose both (right & left), plus telescoping (up & down). Is that ok/normal to have about 2 to 4 inches of play in its motion ? Part # ?
