Wellnut Fastners
Donald,
Wellnuts are the most secure way to attach the awning. You drill a hole place the wellnut insert into the hole then when you screw in the bolt it expands the insert making for a very secure fit. Apparently the Stainless steel machine screw goes through the awning flange and is threaded into this fastener and somehow when it is thightened holds the awning flange in place. is this the best fastener for this application? the regular window awnings are all fastened with stainless screws but this main awning seems to use these Wellnuts for the entire length of awning flange. Would appreciate suggestions. Donald Brown 2000 LX-40 Palmetto,Florida ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Internal Virus Database is out-of-date.
