My trans has two checks on the stick. Hot and cold and the fluid needs to be
balanced in between the lines so to speak.

I spent about 4 hrs searching for a code chart last night. Finally found one
on WOO site. It list diagnostic codes for
MT 600, HT 700, and CT700 series transmission. It says a code 12 is low lube
pressure/oil level.

Howard,

I recently had a transmission problem. I, too, got a code 12 when
the problem started. My trans tech told me that code 12 is
an "initial" code that comes with any problem, sort of like a
warning. There should then be another specific code that follows it.
