Can I weld on my exhaust.
Disconnecting the battery is probably a good idea just in case. However, I have
had many exhaust systems installed on cars installed at the muffler shop and I have yet to see a shop disconnect the battery. Curt Sprenger That's good advise for sure! But, I've welded on many vehicles, did not disconnect the battery, being sure the ground clamp is close to the area that's getting the weld process; so far so good. I would not put the ground clamp on the front or the rear of the vehicle and weld on the opposite end of the vehicle. On Nov 17, 2007 3:29 PM, > Johnny.
