6v92 cooling fan stuck
My 83 did not have the overide but i installed one. Looking at the engine on
the left head you will see a brass switch screwed into the head, or i think it is the head. There will be a air line on the top and bottom of the switch. This controls the air pressure going to the fan switch. The system uses air pressure to keep the fan off i guess so if you loose air on the system the fan will run. You need to check and make sure you have air pressure to the switch which should be the lower one. The line going to the switch runs along the top of the engine to the rear. If you have air on the incoming line you can put air pressure on the other line and see if the fan shuts off.
