When the ignition key is turned on in my 88 FC sometimes the starter will not engage or run. Seems related to voltage sometimes but sometimes just waiting a minute and turning the key and starter will turn and start engine. It seems not to happen if I have 14 V on the guage but intermittently when I don't. I have replaced the ignition switch, the starter switch solenoid and checked all cables for tightness and corrosion. Two batteries are new and the four house batteries are a few years old. Before I replace the four, any ideas or suggestions? Johnbarry44 Carlsbad, NM |
