Speaking of heat

During the warm weather months I have to shut off the coolant line
going from the engine to the front heaters otherwise we would
roast in the cockpit. I have the switches in the right position
but there is a slide switch assenbly below the bu monitor that
has been replaced and is just dangling inside the small door. Can
this be the problem, and if so does someone have a wiring diagram
for the heater shut offs?
