Ernie,
When I replaced my non-functioning doorbell I went to Lowes and bought a battery powered doorbell (2 C-type) to install. It utilizes the original wiring and doorbell button (although I replaced mine with a newer nicer one) and of course doesn't serinade you with Disney tunes but at least we know someone is outside. Now if I had my wishes one of those doorbells like on the Adams family.....
