The standard opening is 14" square, so if the AC uses that size opening, you should be able to install a Fantastic Fan. However, the Fantastic Fan will require 12vdc power, and you may only have 120vac where the AC is located. (That will require some hassle to pull a 12 vdc line through the ceiling and wall.)
