Check wiring connections, clean/repair as necessary.
New ground straps for the engine, transmission, and batteries is IMO a good idea. The transmission control is grounded at the dash, transmission is grounded at the transmission. A long distance in the PT40 and prone to ground loops and noise. It is IMO a good idea to run a dedicated ground either from the transmission ground point, or to ensure that the copper ground buss is excruiatingly well connected at the rear and use a dedicated ground wire from the copper ground buss. - Jeff Miller http://www.wanderlodge.net http://www.millercoachworks.com --- In WanderlodgeForum@yahoogroups.com, erniecarpet@a... wrote: > In a message dated 5/23/2005 7:07:44 PM Central Standard Time, > jamiller@i... writes: > > > > > > If you decide to buy a DDEC1 coach ('88 and at least one '89) it is a > > very good investment to go through the engine/transmisson.control > > wiring and grounds > > Jeff- are you suggesting to remove the wiring and ground connections and > clean them?
