Where to find 8V92 oil pressure sending unit?
I believe the large one is the sender for the gauge. In the files is a Teleflex cross reference which should have the gauge value and the pn. I put most of that together, Curt added info and it is believed to be correct. The other sensor is most likely a low oil pressure sender to give you a stop engine light in the event oil pressure goes below 8psi. This is what I am into now for my DDEC II system. Since you do not have DDEC your BB manual should give you some ideal how your warning system works, if in fact you have one. If you do not have a warning system, disregard because I don't have a clue. I do not want to steer you wrong, but I really think that is what it is. And no your genset gauge has a different temperature index and the sender will give you a false reading.

OK, I think I found it. Is this it? : http://www.ryanwrig ht.com/tmp/ sensor.jpg

Found that sucker on the frame rail hiding next to the muffler. If

this IS it, I have questions:

1. It (the big one) looks exactly like the sensor on my Yanmar genset,

which I replaced earlier this year AND happen to have an extra of!

Anyone know if they're cross-compatible before I swap them and fry

something?

2. What's that little one with the orange wire for? Are there two oil

pressure sensors on this engine? If so, why?

3. Looks like there are a couple of extra ports on that manifold...

can I simply hook up my mechanical gauge I just bought to install in

the engine compartment to one of them?

Thanks!
